Winston Churchill Venison

We established our deer stalking business during October 1988. At the outset of this, all our deer carcasses were sold onto a venison dealer and would have ultimately been exported to Europe. As our business developed we decided to attempt to take control of our own venison sales. This was slow to start, given that venison was then a meat that was not recognized in the UK. However, as the years passed and with more and more people becoming food conscious, our sales grew.

Today we sell all our own venison and buy a small amount in from the trade to supplement our own supply. Most of our sales are to local restaurants, hotels and shops and through Farmers Markets however we are building a mail order business through our web site.

Food from Argyll

We also belong to a small Argyll-shire co-operative called Food From Argyll and along with other members of this group, attend larger events offering cooked venison to the public.

We also welcome customers to our butchery at Balagowan which is open from 8.30 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Special orders can be phoned in for collection on 07879491181 or 01369705319.
