Travel information

By car:

From the South: The Ferry is approximately one hour from Glasgow Airport following the M8 for Greenock and the A8 for Gourock. You will cross the Clyde at Gourock on Western Ferries which is 2 miles beyond Gourock. Suddenly you are transported into the beautiful South West Highlands! Ferries leave every 20 minutes and take 20 minutes to cross to the Cowal Peninsula. From the North travel west on the M8 motorway. Take the Erskine bridge and then take an beautiful scenic route by the A82 by Loch Lomond side north to Tarbet, signposted Crianlarich, then take the A83 to Arrochar and continue along the A83, either turning off for Lochgoilhead or continue through Glen Kinglas and turn off at Cairndow

By bus:

From Buchanan Street Bus Station there are regular buses which take you to the Western Ferry for Dunoon which departs every 20 minutes. Local bus time table can be found at www.westcoastmotors.co.uk

By train:

from Glasgow Central Station, there are regular trains to Gourock where you board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Dunoon.

By air:

The Glasgow airport bus takes 20 minutes to Glasgow City Centre where you can catch a bus or train.

By ferry:

Regular ferries to Cowal leave from Gourock to Dunoon. You can also travel by ferry to Bute and to Tarbet
