There are several sporting events which may be of interest to the visitor to Cowal. It is very enjoyable to mix with the local community as they enjoy a contest.

Watch a game of Shinty

Shinty is popular game in Cowal. The Kyles Shinty “A” Team from Tighnabruaich have been very successful in the past and are in the Premier League. They play at home every second Saturday throughout the summer season.

Swamp Soccer

Swamp soccer is a form of association football that is played in bogs or swamps and the Scottish Championships are played at Strachur each year in June.
