The Anchorage Bed & Breakfast
Originally built for a wealthy merchant from Glasgow and once owned by Harry Lauder, this lovely detached Victorian house with stunning views across the Holy Loch and down the firth of Clyde offers comfort, tranquility and that much sought after "escape" from the modern day hustle and bustle.
Here at the Anchorage we aim to provide everything you would expect from a B&B and to do the simple things really well. The Anchorage provides secure parking and a small boat is available (weather permitting) for our Guests.
We are only ten minutes walk from the Holy Loch marina, so we are ideally situated for those visitors arriving by boat, to have a night ashore.
Enjoy a hearty Scottish breakfast with stunning views across the Holy Loch and down the Firth of Clyde. With magnificent views from the breakfast room, why not set yourself up for the day with one of our full Scottish breakfasts including Stornoway black pudding, our own free range eggs, local bacon, potato scone and tomato, scrambled eggs with local smoked salmon or locally smoked Loch Fyne kippers, the choice is yours. A continental style breakfast is also available.
We are happy to prepare a packed lunch, ideal for taking advantage of the wonderful picnic spots that we have around.
Whether you plan to stay a week or just a few days there are an abundance of things to see and do, both for those seeking outdoor activities and those who prefer a more leisurely pace.
