Castle Lachlan

The House, which overlooks the Loch and is the ancestral seat of the Chiefs of the Clan Maclachlan, is the home of Euan (25th Clan Chief) and Lisa Maclachlan and their family. It has been cleverly divided so that the splendid southwest facing front of the House is now available for letting on a self-catering basis.

Perfect for Weddings

Our setting and surroundings makes Castle Lachlan a very attractive setting for your wedding. The Castle was used by bass player Dougie Payne of Travis and actress Kelly McDonald for their wedding. We are licenced as a civil wedding venue; small wedding parties can be entertained in the house and there is plenty of room outside for a marquee. The Castle allows couples to arrange their wedding as if is in their own country house.
Many visitors come to celebrate special family anniversaries and birthdays; tthree generations often travel from far flung corners of the world.

Business and Media

The seclusion and proximity to Glasgow lends Castle Lachlan for business meetings and entertaining and the Castle Lachlan Estate has been used several times as a location for film, television and photography.

Suitable for a family get-together or celebration

The castle sleeps 13+2 and there is also a cot and a folding bed for children.
